Wedding Make-up Information

My personal goal when doing a Bride's make-up for one of the most special days of her life is to make her feel like the most beautiful version of herself. My style of make-up is simple, elegant, gorgeous, glowing beauty; you should still look and feel like yourself once I am finished your make-up.

From sharp winged liner to soft peach cheeks and everything in between, I can make your dream come true and have you feeling like a Princess while you walk down the aisle.

Make-up for your wedding day should be simple and stress-free to plan:

Step 1:

Your consultation. This is free and is a session where we meet for coffee to get to know each other, talk about what you would like on your wedding day in terms of make-up, and start to plan. We will talk about specifics such as how many people need their make-up done, how much time will be needed to complete the make-ups, if anyone has any allergies, product preferences, etc. You will want to wear your every day make-up to this meeting so that I know exactly what you are comfortable with for your big day. **This is 100% just a meeting to chat, absolutely no obligation to book me if you decide you would like to go with someone else after having coffee**

Step 2:

Your trial make-up application, which is always extremely exciting and fun! This is the time where we get to try out a make-up look that you are interested in wearing to your wedding. We will test different products and figure out which ones work for you and make sure you will feel absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day. The trial make-up will be scheduled to take about 2 to 3 hours depending on the complexity of the make-up, how many looks we try out, and how much we chat while we are working.

Step 3:

The day of! I will arrive 15-30 minutes early to set up my station and to double check with the hair stylist which order people should go in and to whom. The order I generally want to do make-up in is: Bridesmaids, any guests (including mother of the Bride or Groom), Bride, Maid of Honour. The reason behind doing you, the Bride's, make-up second to last is so that if any crying happens we have time to touch you up before having to leave for the ceremony.

Important Make-up Info!
Since your wedding day is generally a 12+ hour day, sometimes make-up can break down and wear off. Or if you end up crying and your make-up runs, touch-ups will be needed. Generally for this your Maid of Honour will be carrying a small bag for you (the Bride) with essentials in it.

In this bag should include:

  • Some translucent powder to maintain your foundation

  • Concealer to touch up any areas of foundation that has worn off

  • A  lip colour to touch up lips after eating/drinking/kissing.

There are some options for these products:

  1.  If you would like full-size products to keep and take with you for touch ups I can provide these, with you covering the cost of the products

  2.  You can go out and purchase full-size products to take with you with some suggestions from myself

  3.  I can provide you with a small touch up kit which would include a small amount of lipstick, powder, concealer, disposable wands, a couple of sponges, kleenex, and blotting papers. (This is already included in the price of your make-up application)
